There are five types of empathy. They are cognitive empathy, compassionate empathy, emotional empathy, somatic empathy, and spiritual empathy.
Sometimes things hit me in waves. The other day I was working to 80s nostalgia music when Making Love Out of Nothing at All played. It is a narc song. The singer is lovebombing their new love with the sort of endless worthless promises that only disordered personalities use.
There is unrest in the forest

Today, I listened to 30 Covert Emotional Manipulation Tactics: How Manipulators Take Control in Personal Relationships by Adelyn Birch. It was a short but intense listen of under two hours. It took more than two hours for me to get through it, because I had to pause to take notes.
This morning I watched a wonderful video created by Beau of the Fifth Column about MEGA hats, the new harassment free app for those who wear them, and what all who wear those hats could learn about micro-aggression, hate, and making others feel like shit.
Here Dr. Howard Wetsman talks about how making people feel less than others lowers dopamine tone and causes mental health issues. His perspective is on addiction. I think treating others as less than causes many of of our health issues.
